Do you often feel that you run around from one thing to another and having a tough time prioritize things in your life. What is really important and which activities, people, or material possessions should you let go off? Which ones are important and need more time
This isn't easy and I noticed myself some things changes, what was high on the priority list at one time isn't important two years later. This could be due to change of interest and be good for you. If you say you don't have time to exercise and spend more than one hour each night in front of the TV or surfing the net you know you are lying to your self. Think how you spend your time off work. Is it things you would like to do differently? Maybe it's time to start a new hobby or pick up a old one from your teens. Personally, I have picked up a hobby I did as a teen and began couple of new ones the last two years. I'm encouraging you do something creative; a craft or play an instrument. It feels really good to create something. I carve wood, mainly making spoons and recently began to play the harmonica and Djembe drum. The one of the most important things for your health and well being is prioritizing the people you hang out with. This also very hard to actually do. Most of us have a friend who we don't enjoy talking or spending time with. You have grown apart but it is hard to cut it. many times it is easy to just ignore her and hope she gets the message. This isn't the right thing to do, best is if you are able to solve it without hurting the other person's feelings. Maybe it isn't that kind of a big deal to meet this person for a coffee once every other month... What you have to cut loose is the people who after work only like to party, watch TV and just hang. Remember what they say, you are the average of the people you hang out with. So, get a new hobby, you might meet a person who will become a great friend. Think about it, currently, do you live the same life you did 5-10 years ago, same routine? If, YES, you will benefit enormously to change, drop some and add some quality habits, hobbies and people to your life. -Chris (Ironcouch.com) Comments are closed.
